Hello friends and family!
I’ve been a resident of Colorado (again) for over a year now, so I’ve had a chance to get settled in to my position as a speech-language pathologist at Craig Hospital, one of the leading hospitals in the nation for brain injury. Working at Craig has introduced me to many amazing programs and resources available to patients and their families once they leave the hospital and return to their community.
One of those resources is the the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado. This organization offers an extensive amount of services to help support and guide survivors and their caregivers through what can feel like a long and intimidating road to recovery. My favorite part of this organization is their social events and activities program. People can get involved and feel supported in a safe environment while having fun and meeting new people they can relate to!
There are over 500,000 Coloradans living with the effects of brain injury that could use the assistance of the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado, and the Alliance needs OUR help!
I’m excited to participate in the 2017 Pikes Peak Challenge Summit Hike which is a fundraiser to support the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado. When I finish, I will have hiked 13 miles and 7,400 vertical feet to the 14,110 foot summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs.
Please consider donating to this awesome cause! We can make a huge impact for brain injury survivors and the entire brain injury community!
Thanks!
Allison
