I’m participating in the Pikes Peak Challenge Summit Hike for a host of reasons. First, I love to hike, especially with my wife, Jenny. She hiked the Pikes Peak Summit last year for the first time, in support of her dear sister Heidi, who suffered a terrible TBI in March 2016. Heidi’s recovery has been miraculous, but like all brain injury survivors, her progress is slow and steady…just the way I envision my first hike up Pikes Peak this year. Besides Heidi, I have had one first cousin, Susan L., another childhood pal, Carol D., and a dear dear man, Tyrone H. who have all experienced severe head injuries that have changed their lives. Forever. But they are all courageous survivors and live very productive, exceptional lives. I am honored to join the other hikers and BIAColorado to continue to raise funds to improve the lives of these heroes of mine. Please join me. Any amount will help the next human who faces a life-changing TBI.

I received donations from my Mom, Janet, my mother-in-law, Melissa, and my dear Auntie Barbara that have put me very very close to my minimum fundraising goal. Every dollar helps. Thanks so much, dear family members!
