The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado offers a fun-filled, inclusive event to inspire every participant, challenge every ability, and raise money to improve the lives of those living with an injury to the brain.
I was able to participate last year and have made the commitment to participate again in the Pikes Peak Challenge Summit Hike 2022 on September 10th to help support the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado (BIAC).
It is a unique way to summit Pikes Peak while supporting an important cause. I am a veteran and work in health care and have seen how much brain injuries change peoples lives.
The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado has been the go-to resource for help and services for brain injury survivors, their families, and providers for 36 years.
BIAC is dedicated to serving individuals affected by all forms of injuries to the brain such as stroke, TBI, tumor, anoxia, and infection; and connecting them with the resources to help navigate the path of rehabilitation.
Without your support, The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado would not be able to offer their much needed services to the brain injury community in Colorado.
At the end of this Challenge, I will have hiked 13 miles and 7,400 vertical feet to the 14,115 foot summit of Pikes Peak to join other hikers and supporters in celebration of brain injury awareness.
What makes this event so special though is that survivors and their families will be summiting alongside me- defying the odds, accomplishing something they’ve been told they’d never do, and are celebrating this truly amazing and powerful achievement. They remind us that their daily challenges far surmount our own and help empower us to challenge our own physical limitations.
Please donate to help me reach my fundraising goal of at least $200.
Thank you so much for your support!
