I’m participating in the Pikes Peak Challenge Summit Hike as a member of Team Craig to help raise money for the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado. I have worked at Craig Hospital in traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehab for the past six months and in my short time at Craig, I have witnessed families deal with both emotional stress as well as the financial burdens that come along with a catastrophic injury. Financial burdens are short-term and long-term for people who live with this chronic injury. The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado provides invaluable resources for people living with TBI.
