PHILOSOPHY: “That which does not kill me makes me stronger”-Niche
In 2001, after a life threatening car wreck doctors told my parents that I would not make it through the night but…… I did!! Only to be in a coma for another month, I awakened to this person I did not recognize or know or even like. I woke up 50 lbs lighter, with one ear, double vision, and a traumatic brain injury. I was in a wheelchair unable to walk or even stand on my own. Doctors then told me that I might never walk unaided ever again. After 1 year of rehab and 3 years of personal training, I was able to run the Chicago Marathon to help raise money for Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. From then on I decided I would be the one determining what I can and can not do.
“Tell me again I can’t do something… then watch me do it!”
Prior to my accident I attended Eastern Illinois University (EIU). After my accident I was a patient of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC). Here, as well as being a patient, I was able to mentor and help many young individuals scared and facing some of the same challenges I had. This is where I heard my calling. Despite my brain injury I returned to EIU and graduated with my Bachelors.
I had a new appreciation for fitness and helping others achieve goals they might have once thought unattainable. After I earned my first Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through NCFS I immediately went to work for X Sport Fitness in Arlington Heights, Illinois. In just over a year I was able to vastly build my clientele and change many lives in the Chicagoland area. After marrying my wife Cassandra, we decided to follow a long time dream and moved to CO. This is where you are meeting me; I 1st decided to work with 24 Hour Fitness. After years @ 24 I started my own company, to help so many reach goals they never thought possible.
In 2016 I started working for Southwest Airlines & although I still work with clients & love the fitness industry, I feel I made my final career move. This job has taken me & my family around the world but still allows time to work w/ my clients.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift! That is why they call it the present.
MOTIVATION + DETERMINATION + HARD WORK = RESULTS
