Hi!
My name is Carrie and I'm a simple chick from Georgia recently relocated to New Mexico. I work as an Occupational Therapist in the Inpatient rehabilitation setting with those who have acquired brain injuries; therefore, my experience with brain injury has been more from a professional perspective. I have learned more about BI in the last 2.5 years, while living and working in New Mexico, than any other time in my life. I have seen the difficult journey that having a BI can bring.
When I am not at work, I am walking my dog, reading a book, lifting weights at the gym, hanging out with my friends or hiking. The date of this Pikes Peak Summit Hike is on a significant day for me as I will have been divorced for a year on September 7,2019. My BI patients have taught me what perseverance looks like. I am so excited to concur this challenge of Pikes Peak on the 7th!
