Don and I are in the 12th year of our journey with a traumatic brain injury. It's hard to believe that that much time has passed since he fell in December, 2012. We couldn't have done this without the support of friends, family, our church and BIAC. We are indeed grateful for you all!
We have been part of a BIAC support group for almost all of those 12 years and have found that essential to us. We have interacted with other families and individuals who face similar challenges due to brain injuries and we are stronger for it. So, this year, we are participating in BIAC's Pikes Peak Challenge in order to raise money for this great organization. The services they provide for brain injury survivors and their loved ones are essential.
