Hello Everyone,
As many of you know, my wife Michelle suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury after getting rear-ended by a young girl looking down at her phone on March 13, 2017. She received every impairment possible (severe head pain, cognitive, sensory, balance, elevated heart rate, trouble speaking, standing, walking, sleeping, etc) Last year she participated in the 2 mile Manitou Springs Walk, and was hopeful to do the Pikes Peak Summit one day, but not yet! Since the accident, she has been super positive, very focused on therapies and treatments, and has connected with some awesome organizations like BIAC.

The Pikes Peak Challenge is in it's 35th year raising money for the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado (BIAC). BIAC supports survivors of brain injuries and strokes. BIAC has had a huge positive impact on Michelle in many ways! This year, she was able to attend many events for free including art and music therapy, support groups, field trips to the Rockies game, and camping. All of these things have been provided free of charge or at greatly reduce cost thanks to generous donations to BIAC and this annual fund raiser.
Why the name "TEAM POSITIVE?" Because Michelle has been able to stay upbeat and positive! Her team will be made up of many other TBI survivors who have become dear friends! And all of our friends who want to walk belong side us on this journey.
Thank you so much for partnering with us!
