This will be my 3rd time doing this hike. The 1st 2 times I hiked for my cousin and my grandbaby. My cousin was hit by a train many years ago; she is doing AMAZING now! And my granddaughter Emma was born with hydranencephaly. Not really a "brain injury", but It did effect her brain. She is an little angel in Heaven.
This year I'm hiking also for my nephew Bryce. He was in a horrible auto accident 10/24/15 resulting in a traumatic brain injury. Bryce is know for being so helpful and loving, he would do anything for anyone. He is also known for his amazing HUGS! Hence the name of the team, HUGS FOR BRYCE. :) BIAC has reached out and helped my nephew and his momma tremendously, BIAC does what they say and this money raised will be put to great use to help others in need.
