Are you up for the Challenge? I’m participating in the Pikes Peak Challenge Manitou Walk to support my husband Ryan Mader and I need your help!
On approximately April 8, 2015 I received a call at 1:30 am that every wife and family member dreads. My husband called to let me know he was in an accident and was in the ER. As a result of the accident he now lives everyday with a Traumatic Brain Injury. This type of injury is extremely difficult as it is not visible right away like an amputated limb would be. He suffers in silence on the inside, and for those of you who know Ryan know that he is not one to show emotion or let others know when he is suffering. Ryan’s Traumatic Brain Injury is something that affects every aspect of his life and ended his Firefighting career.
As Ryan’s wife I want to do everything humanly possible to help him and I constantly pray for a miracle. I feel helpless, there are a lot of days when I don’t know how I can help my husband. One thing I can do is participate in the 2016 Pikes Peak Challenge to raise money and awareness for this disease. I can’t do it alone though, I need you help and support. On Saturday, September 10, 2016 I am walking 3 miles around the picturesque town of Manitou Springs with others who are survivors and family members of traumatic brain injury’s. I would love for you to join our team “Ryan Strong”, and participate in this walk. If you are unable to participate in the walk you can always make a donation for me to reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you for your love and support!
