I’m hiking for the bravest 13 yr old ever… JAX! He is by far the bravest and most courageous little boy ever. What this sweet kid goes through day in and day out would leave the majority of us in complete agony but not Jax! He still wakes up every morning with the brightest smile (even when he says the hair monster was in his room), the optismism to get through the day with the best attitude (even if mom makes him mad telling him to take smaller bites, get his balance, walk slowly, the list goes on) and the most powerful of prayers every night before bed. You have to have an inner spirit that goes beyond our thinking to do all of that & boy does he. I’m doing this for Jackson and all the other brain injury survivors in our community who brave the day in such an extraordinary way.
I am reaching out to my family and friends to share my exciting commitment to participate in the 2018 Pikes Peak Challenge. This fun-filled and exciting event raises awareness for the brain injury community, while at the same time empowers both supporters and survivors as we hike, walk or roll side-by-side.
Last year $275,000 was raised to support the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado! This year we hope to surpass that number and raise $300,000. Can you help us reach our goal?
Even more impressive than this challenge, is the courage and strength it takes for a survivor to overcome day to day struggles that come with a life of living with an injury to the brain.
Please donate now and together we can make a huge impact for brain injury survivors like Jackson and the entire brain injury community.
