My name is Maria N. Martinez and I will be 99 when I participate in my fourth Manitou Walk. Over 38 years ago I had hematoma and suffered a stroke. It weakened my left side, loss of short term memory, relearning to walk, and talk. It was difficult for my family and the support I received from my husband and children gave me strength to continue my recovery. I have participated in many Brain Injury Alliance of CO activities with my daughter who also has a brain injury.
