Dear family and friends,
I want to reach out and let you know about an opportunity to join me in a first-time thing I’m doing. I’ve never done a fundraising walk or sought sponsors for an event to support a helping organization, but this year on September 10, the kiddo and I will be joining her Mimi and Dev in the Pikes Peak Challenge to raise funds for the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado.
Ten years ago Adam’s Uncle Don sustained a head injury that placed him in ICU and has had long-reaching effects for him both physically and cognitively, compounded several years later by a second fall. The challenges he and our family have faced in adjusting to these changes during and after his recovery have shown all of us how much we take our mental health and well-being for granted. The Brain Injury Alliance comes alongside families and individuals who are living with these challenges to provide support and help along the ongoing journey of both recovery and adjustment.
Please consider sponsoring me in this fundraising effort to help make a difference in the lives of those who experience brain injuries and their families.
