Hello, I am Francesca. I sustained a catastrophic anoxic brain injury during routine heart surgery on 20 December 2018.

The surgery caused my vision to be severely impaired and for me to have a wide variety of physical and mental disabilities, many of which continue to this day.

Ever since the injury, my life has been quite challenging, but through BIAC and other organizations, my life is characterized by improvement and hope, not by failure and loss. My ducks are back in a row, and the sky is the limit.

I am back in school, with a goal of becoming a paralegal. My future, once closed-off, is now reopened.

Please consider giving generously to BIAC and aligned organizations to help survivors like me. We need it.
