The Pikes Peak Challenge is a fun and well-supported hike that starts before sunrise and will challenge you to the summit with cheering squads and encouragement the whole way! It is the ultimate test of our own mental and physical boundaries as we raise money and awareness for those who have suffered an injury to the brain whose daily challenges surmount our own.
The hike takes place on the well-established Barr Trail. From the Trailhead hikers make their way 13 miles up the trail to the beautiful summit at 14,115ft. The event is a 13-mile ascent to the summit of Pikes Peak. Once at the summit, enjoy an energy snack and the amazing views. You will be transported back down the mountain to Manitou Springs Fields Park where you can relax and have lunch.
Each participant must be pre-registered. You can register online or by mail-in registration. You must be 12 years old (accompanied by an adult) and in good physical condition to hike. Registration deadline is September 3rd.
